When you start looking at building your first track bike, you soon realise that there really aren’t that many frame options available at a reasonable price.
Head to your local track and chances are you are only going to see 2 or 3 different brands.
The All-City Thunderdome you see here in its brilliant raw alloy finish was especially imported from the US for us. We already knew how good the finish is on the All-City range of frames, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
Track bikes are pretty simple beasts, but fitting them with quality components is the key to performance.
In this case we went with a set of Dura Ace large flange hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro Ceramic rims with Sapim spokes, a Miche crank fitted with a Dura Ace chain ring and Dura Ace sprocket.
It’s light, super stiff, and will stand out at your local track session.
